Harlan Mack in the 125 Window Gallery at 47th Street. @RShotel #NYCSmallestGallery

So after a while of the same in the 125 window display, I’m switching it up and bringing in a sculpture piece from Vermont studio center artist Harlan Mack. I met Harlan this summer during my August artist residency at the VSC, and believe he is great.

The 125 window Gallery, on 47th street is New York’s smallest art gallery… Or at least that’s my claim. I am very excited to introduce Harlan Mack to the New York art scene. I’m sure that you will enjoy his work.
Come check-in on foursquare and follow me @pancity for updates on the space. Let me know what you think!

Cheers
Panman.

Animated Closet

Forward fashion, clothes that actually fit, independent designers, AND 10% of our profits go towards supporting economic development initiatives for women and children.
Inspired by women who love color and lead an active lifestyle, Animated Closet is something new, fresh and truly unique. Drawing comparisons to Custo Barcelona and Desigual, with an emphasis on creativity and individuality. At the epicenter of their look is an upheaval of contrasting patterns and colors. The prints and patterns are splashed boldly across our asymmetrical skirts, fun tops and outerwear, and flattering dresses.
Their creative process is collaborative- working with different artists for artwork, print the fabrics, and then cut clothing from the newly printed material. They only print a limited amount of fabric so everything is a limited run. In order to reduce waste as much as possible, they create their own patchwork skirts and pants from the leftover pieces of fabric.
They carry sizes small thru extra-large to ensure that a broad range of body types can enjoy. Vibrant and colorful, Animated Closet kicks any wardrobe up a notch!
You can’t go wrong!

Roger Smith Round Table; Converstations at the Roger Smith Hotel
At a round table there are no corners. Conversations occur, ideas are explored, and relationships are built around a round table. The Roger Smith Round Table series brings together 6-8 people to discuss current topics in a purely conversational format. The show takes place in the Penthouse of the Roger Smith Hotel where ideas are shared and relationships are built.
As we head into the fall we look to create a series of round table discussions on a range of topics.  The Production and broadcasts will be brought to you by Panman Productions and the Roger Smith Hotel. Be sure to share this with your friends, follow our efforts on facebook and other Social Media platforms. We invite you to engage with us and become part of our culture.

“On the rocks”, A Roger Smith Short by Sean Cunningham

1 Comment 30 June 2010

In, “On the rocks”, two dudes are confronted with the task of scoring ice for drinks for their dates. What happens to them on this journey is both destructive and life affirming. The protaganists are faced with a grisly task in order to get the ice cold redemption which they seek. We are faced with the question: Will this experience put their friendship “on the rocks” or will it strengthen their resolve?
