Roger Smith Shorts ‘09 (Festival Workshop) is a two-part, weeklong event within the Roger Smith Hotel in NYC: A Short Film Festival and Short Film Workshop.

Workshop

6 Filmmakers will be selected to be a part of this year’s workshop. Participants will receive entry into the workshop, access to the festival and lodging at the Roger Smith Hotel. They will be given 1 week to complete their short film all within the Roger Smith Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.

Festival

The Festival will begin Thursday August 20th-Saturday August 22nd. Short Film categories include: Narrative, Comedy, Documentary and Avant-Garde.

Filmmakers and industry professionals are invited to participate in an intimate and collaborative Festival and Workshop at the Roger Smith Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. The goal of Roger Smith Shorts Workshop is to help filmmakers reach their own goals with a location and environment that promotes creativity and structure through mentorship and panels.
