Panman Productions and the Arts

The Market Place:Â The Professional world and Art Communities
A professional is anyone who has logged 10,000 or more hours at their given profession and should have the qualities of a person who lives breaths whatever they do. By working with professionals that belong to a community we will engage group interests in order to expand our brand.Â
Â
The Art Community
In an art community there are several micro-communities that function in a cross pollinating way. These micro- communities cannot exist without each others. There are the artists (sculptors, painters, ceramicists, media artists, performance artists, instillation, architects, etc.) all of which again can break up into further smaller communities within a given medium/time period/school of thought. There are the dealers, curators, gallery owners, and collectors all of which have a high stake in the success of the above mentioned group of artists. There are also the academics (critics, art theorists, philosophers, anthropologists, demagogues, and students.) All of these types of professionals function in an interrelated way. It is our goal is to draw these communities together and be a resource for information and network.Â
Â
Studio Visits:Â
Panman Productions has created a series of short documentaries on a variety of artist, showcasing their skill and artistic versatility. The relationships made have been progressive as we come to represent and promote a wide range of artists. Â

Gallery 4222 and the Long Island Art Scene
With so many art communities in the world it is not enough to paint solo pictures of each artists without connection into a larger context. Currently Panman Productions has conducted an investigation into the Long Island Port Jefferson Art scene with the objective of connecting that art scene to the RogerSmith community. Six artists and one gallery owner were all profiled in a series of pieces that were and still are being released via various web 2.0 sources. Each web 2.0 source in turn has its own community to which different studio visits appeal to.

4222 Studio Visits: Owens
With the objective of connecting an art community in Midtown Manhattan, Panman Productions generates original video content on different artist and curates art installations at the Roger Smith Hotel. We are building the platform for artist and collectors to interact. With a Solon Series in the penthouse and art openings in the solarium this summer, we are excited for an interesting lineup of upcoming art events.Â

Panman Arts has been entrenched in the world of art in more ways than one. We have been diligently working this rubix -cube from the corners inward. Our roles span the gamut of Artist(s), Documentarians, Curators, Art Dealers, Art Collectors, and Art Theorists. We feel that the art community is a living, breathing organism that must be approached from all sides at once. Here we have laid out our map of approach and interaction.
