Jeremy Thompson’s Movember Mustache

1 Comment 29 November 2009

When asked who his mustache role-model is, Jeremy with confidence stated Ron Burgundy! And why not. His sense of style and charisma is a perfect aspiration when trying to sculpt and model your Movember Mustache.

If you are not familiar with Movember, for the month of November, gentlemen from across the world have come together to raise money for Prostate Cancer research, and the Live strong foundation through the sponsorship of their upper lip. I have personally donated to Jeremy Thompson’s Mustache and applaud him for his courageous dedication to the cause. I must also give props to my sister Allie who has lived with it for the last month.

If you have not yet donated, please take a second to support Jeremy Thompson’s Mustache.

I am happy to be a supporter of Movember and am proud of Jeremy Thompson for being a team player while sporting a fantastic Stash. Congrats JT!

All of the contributors this week, from panel members to keynote speakers, were tremendously insightful. It was great to be a part of such a talented and inspiring group of individuals. Interaction and group discussion was encouraged and the speakers were engaging. Gary Whitehill and Kerry Bannigan put together a great event. I was proud to be part of the NYEW mission “Stand up and Come Together!”

LEJKARAMA- Created by Lejka Sievert and Nicole Arama

Transforming and Modifying objects into new aesthetic purposes. 3 Main Collection Concepts: T-Shirts, Versatile Dresses and the Safety Pinned Line T-Shirt collection is based on vintage objects, the designs and placements are strategized to compliment and accentuate the body.

The Versatile dress collection gives the little black dress concept a new name, and lets women re-invent themselves and is their chameleon staple. Safety Pin collection changes the purpose of an object – they choose ubiquitous pins and utilitize it as an ornamental graphic statement, not just a functional piece.

Homemade BFF Fashion Friday tip of the week.

You can see Nicole and purchase their transformational pieces at the RS POP UP shop at the Roger Smith Hotel Nov. 13-20th.

Our visit to the Magic Castle was truely a Freakcast. I almost got turned down at the door for wearing sneakers. fortunately they had an extra pair of shoes in the back. Marlo wore his mask, as Abi and I cringed at the guy who was eating light bulbs at the Freak show Deluxe. A highlight of the night was in the parlor room when the magician read Abi’s mind and made a table levitate. The magic castle is a truly unique experience of hospitality, dance theater, acts of awe and of course magic.

The Magic Castle is the private clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts, Inc, a very special organization devoted to the advancement of the ancient art of magic. The purpose of The Academy is to encourage and promote public interest in the art of magic with particular emphasis on preserving its history as an art form, entertainment medium, and hobby. Beginning with a charter membership of 150, the Academy has grown into a world-renowned fraternal organization with a membership of nearly 5,000.

Only Magic at the Magic Castle in LA. What a great stay in the Hotel of the Magic Castle. Free mini bar. Great Service. and large rooms.

I don’t think this guy gets the concept of skating exactly. (Keep your eye on the guy in the red jacket. You know, the guy running around the rink on his skates and then doing wide-stance fanciness for no particular reason.)
