Welcome to Pancity. Where all of your dreams come true.

Pancity as a form of artistic expression can be seen from many angles. It is an inspired idea that is projected and replicated to create an atmosphere where imagination is the key to its limits.  It is a way of understanding your creative potential. The ability to transform an idea into a reality, no matter how fantastic the concept.

A difficult Rocky Road

“Do it or don’t do it. But not doing it is like committing a sin and doing it is painful. It is a difficult rocky road.” Commitment to an idea is not easy. You must follow through in times of opposition and distraction. The most rewarding part is the ability to see the idea become a reality.

Characters

In the evolution of Pancity there are different inspirations that become part of its foundation. Dancing figures create a movement that gives depth to the visual expression.

Urban Crystals

With each phase of Pancity there is a collaboration that occurs. Each individual ads their creative power to the mix and soon the city is alive with activity. The Urban Crystals by James Knowles became the focus in exploring the nature of light and shadows. With reflective surfaces and video projections Pancity expands to all visual corners of the room.

Panman Mixtape Sessions in Pancity!

After working with different artist such as Mark Wiener, Eclectic Method, Michael Scott Slosar, Gaston the MC and Matisyahu there emerges a new chapter of Pancity.

Penguins in Pancity

With Aleks Degtyarev as Marlo Brown and John Knowles as Panman we dive into the emergence of “Penguins in Pancity”. This new chapter will be conducted Live and will touch on mythical and philosophical concepts.

Layer upon layer, eventually the scene emerges into an event. We re-emerge from the mixtape sessions with the same message. Follow your dreams.

Panman Arts Salon Live

The Salon (French: Salon), or rarely Paris Salon (French: Salon de Paris), beginning in 1725 was the official art exhibition of the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France. Between 1748–1890 it was the greatest annual or biannual art event in the western world. Since 1881 it was organized by the Société des Artistes Français.

Panmna Arts aims at reproducing some of the successes of the Paris Salon fusing the atmosphere and attitude of the original with 21st century technology and social media.

The first show will feature Damon Tommolino and will take place on the 16th floor of the Roger Smith Hotel in the newly built “Soularium.” Although it will not be the works of many students like in the days of the original Salon, Damon will line the Soularium walls with paintings from various periods of his career and experimentation. This will create a journey through the evolution of an artist.

Panman Arts in conjunction with Panman Productions will use social networks to generate proper buzz about the event. Hosting Damon’s portfolio on Panman Gallery allows for collectors, dealers, students, critics, artists and other curators to survey the work before hand with the option to buy any pieces pre-show.

During the opening and the closing, Panman Productions will broadcast a live feed of the party allowing professionals abroad a chance to interact through social media platforms such as Twitter, Skype, Ustream, and others. Clients and fans from all over the globe will have the opportunity to be present at this happening, being able to speak to the artist and other guests.

This is a brand new interactive initiative that will connect the various art bases of the world allowing the Panman Arts Salon Live to exist and collaborate on a global scale.

Market Place: The Professional world and Art Communities

A professional is anyone who has logged 10,000 or more hours at their given profession and should have the qualities of a person who lives breaths whatever they do.  By working with professionals that belong to a community we will engage group interests in order to expand our brand.

The Art Community

In an art community there are several micro-communities that function in a cross pollinating way. These micro- communities cannot exist without each others.  There are the artists (sculptors, painters, ceramicists, media artists, performance artists, instillation, architects, etc.) all of which again can break up into further smaller communities within a given medium/time period/school of thought. There are the dealers, curators, gallery owners, and collectors all of which have a high stake in the success of the above mentioned group of artists. There are also the academics (critics, art theorists, philosophers, anthropologists, demagogues, and students.) All of these types of professionals function in an interrelated way.  It is our goal is to draw these communities together and be a resource for information and network.
